Who are you, Where am I & What’s the deal with DCSnacks.com?
DCSnacks.com is a late night delivery service delivering 7 nights a week. We are open 6p-2a and expect to expand to lunch delivery as well. We deliver meals, snacks, drinks, DVD’s, Pharmacy items and all those random things that you want at night.

I am not a cartographer, can you explain this map?
We hand-deliver to Foggy Bottom, Georgetown, Midtown, Downtown, Dupont, Chinatown, U-St and all the places in between. If you are not sure you live in these areas, please give us a call and ask the Manager at (202) 333-3278.

What are the Hours?
6p – 2a every day of the week.

What is the typical delivery time?
Typical delivery time is less than 45 min. All orders are delivered as fast as possible, but this depends on current order volumes. We operate on a First In First Out basis and bike as hard as possible to get you stuff quickly.

Are there delivery fees?
With the rising cost of transportation, and the spike in costs, we have had to add mandatory delivery fees on orders. To provide you with the service required, we had to add a $1.85 delivery charge to help cover the costs associated in the delivery of an order. Trust me, downtown DC rents are not cheap… unfortunately :(

Can I call in and place a phone order?
Yes, but there is a caveat: If at all possible, please order online. We operate on a small staff; to keep delivery times down and efficiency up, we need as few calls as possible. That being said, if you’re on your way home or your internet is down and still want some DCsnacks glory, feel free to give us a call at 202-333-3278

Can I suggest a product or idea?
Of course! We love to hear from you and consider you family (take your shoes off and get comfortable). Our best selling products came from ideas you submitted. There is nothing more important to us than your feedback. Tell us about products (however random they seem). Just email us at aaron@dcsnacks.com.

How do you choose products?
We have a few main sources for products. Our biggest source is from you, our customers. In addition, suppliers send us samples of new products.  We add stuff every week, if we see something that catches our eye while walking around, we will do all we can to get it… We have been on the search for the elusive Taquito for a while now.

I’m freaking out, my building not listed in your delivery options…
We have done our best to include every building in our delivery area in the list. If your building is not included, please e-mail apts@dcsnacks.com. Include your building name and address, and our address wizard will add it to our list.

Campus Questions:

Why can’t I buy cigarettes with my GWorld Colonial Cash card or GU’s GOCARD?
George Washington University and Georgetown University policies state that no alcohol or tobacco products can be purchased using Colonial Cash or GOCARD. This is out of our hands, and we are just simple snack delivery guys. If you have any concerns, you can contact the G-World office (202) 994-1795 or GOCARD (202) 687-2700.

Billing Questions

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, G-World Colonial Cash, GOCARD, as well as Cash. We no longer accept NY Subway tokens (sorry☹).

Why are there 2 charges on my credit card?
In reality, there is only one, though it may appear to be different. When you place an order on a credit card with DCSnacks, an authorization is placed on your card. This ensures that the credit card was entered correctly and also does a verification to ensure your security. Once the order is delivered and any tips are entered, another charge is put through. The second charge is the amount which will be charged and show up on your statement. After a few days, the authorization will disappear (the amount of time depends on your bank). This is something that often happens, especially with rental car companies, but you typically only notice it with debit cards.

How can I change my Billing Information?
You can change any of account information by going to the My Account section on the web site using the link on the top right of every page. From there, you can update your addresses, credit cards, favorites, quick order and much more.

Ordering Questions

Can I have my ordered delivered to a different address?
Of Course, During checkout, click on the ‘Add Address’ and enter your new delivery address. Enter all your delivery addresses and we’ll give you an easy drop down of all locations when you come back again. As long as you are in our delivery area, we’ll be right over.

How do I use Coupon Codes?
On the checkout page, there is a promotion / coupon box that can be used to redeem any gift certificates or coupons.

Note: Registration coupons are good one per household for new customers only. Multiple registrations in the same household are not eligible for the registration discounts.

My Coupon doesn’t work, what’s the deal?
Some coupons require you to purchase something for them to be applied. For example, $2.00 off Ice Cream, you must have ice cream in the cart for the coupon to work. If you are having trouble using a gift certificate, make sure that you have applied the amount to be deducted from your order. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us and we will address the issue as best we can.

How can I check on my order?
After you check out, you are taken to a tracking page. On this page, we strive to provide you with up to the minute information that is as accurate as possible, allowing you to know as much as possible about your order. As the order is processed by our warehouse staff, its status will be updated on the web site for you to review. Once an order is out for delivery, you can see a picture and bio of your biker.

Should I tip the delivery person?
We operate much like a restaurant, with most of the salary of the delivery people working on tips. They really do work hard (even in rain and snow) and appreciate tips.

Does the biker get the delivery fee?
Yes. Our bikers work for the delivery fee and tips.

What happens if I am not home to receive the delivery?
If we attempt to deliver the order to you, but you are not available to receive it, we will bring it back to our warehouse. Our customer service people will attempt to contact you to verify the address and set up a new delivery time.

Please note that multiple delivery failures will result in the imposition of a “Not At Home” fee to your account in the amount of our delivery fee. Your order may also be subject to a $5.00 restocking fee, should you subsequently cancel the order.
Can I cancel my order after placing it?
To avoid being charged for an order you wish to cancel, we must receive your cancellation before the order has been sent out for delivery. To cancel the order, simply view the order from My Account. On the view order screen, if the order is eligible to be cancelled, a cancel order button will be visible. Simply click that button and the order will be cancelled immediately.

For orders that have already had a delivery attempt against them and where we were unable to deliver through no fault of our own, you will be charged the delivery fee for the cancelled order.

Can I order tobacco?
Yes, assuming you follow the law. DCSnacks stocks a wide variety of brands of cigarettes, cloves, and hookah tobacco. You can add these to your order and have it delivered right to you.
To order from our selection of cigarettes, you must be over the age of 18 and have ID available at the time of delivery. If you don’t have ID, please don’t order. If you don’t have ID, the order will be returned to the warehouse, your order will be canceled, and you will be charged a service fee.


Security Questions

Will the delivery person know what I am ordering?
No (except for tobacco). Our delivery people do not know the contents of your order, allowing you to receive the items without worry about what anyone will know. They are notified if there is tobacco so that they can verify your age. You must be 18 to order and receive tobacco.

Is DCSnacks secure?
DCSnacks takes the security of your personal information very seriously. We have implemented state-of-the-art system and network security, including encryption of your sensitive information to keep your information out of the wrong hands.

What do you do with my personal information?
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise give out your personal information to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
Will you ever ask me for my personal information in email or over the phone?
No. DCSnacks staff will NEVER ask you for your personal information, password over the phone or email. Please be careful of any email that you receive asking you for this information. A number of fraudulent people on the internet have taken to impersonating other web sites in order to steal your information. Please be very skeptical about any request for personal information over email. If you have any questions about communications that you have received, please contact us immediately.
